Biography

Research Assistant

Natalie Mansfield is a Trainee Clinical Psychologist and Postgraduate Research Student at The University of Manchester. As a sub-study of the NIHR funded CardioActive project, Natalie’s doctoral research aims to explore children’s and their parents’ beliefs about exercise, the nature of worry, and metacognitive beliefs where the child has a heart condition.

Natalie completed her BSc at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2012 and her MA at The University of Essex and The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust in 2019. Natalie is interested in the design of public services, and prior to training as a Clinical Psychologist, worked to re-design Local Authority Children’s Services to better meet the needs of communities.

Natalie Mansfield enjoys qualitative research and brings her valuable experience of working with children and families across a range of sectors to the research team.
